Guided.
A truly unique gallery experience.
The Guided app was designed to help museum and art gallery visitors navigate exhibits and learn more about art.
Initial User Research
After conducting initial research, I learned that Guided’s potential user base mostly consisted of adults who were frequent visitors of art galleries and museums.
Paper Wireframes
I started wire framing my initial ideas for the Guided app on paper, particularly focusing on designing the location map and audio and video guides.
Digital Wireframes
Creating digital wireframes for the app helped me streamline my designs and make them more accessible and easy to use.
Usability Study Findings
Most users think the scanner is difficult to locate.
Many users don’t understand how to select a location in the map.
Users cannot easily find the guide overview page.
High Fidelity Design
What I Learned
Over the course of designing this app, I learned how to optimise my designs to best fit the users’ needs. In particular, I learned the importance of giving users multiple ways to access various parts of the user flow.
