Neko Clinic

Neko Clinic is a veterinary clinic in Mumbai that specializes in treating cats.

I designed a responsive website to help streamline the clinic’s online registration process.

Understanding the User

A majority of the user base for Neko Clinic’s website are working professionals who need a faster, easier way to register their pets.

A secondary user group includes animal rescuers, who need a way to register multiple rescue cats at once to save time.

Planning and Wireframing

I began the design process by brainstorming a list of features that could make the Neko Clinic website easier to use. I then sketched paper wireframes, starting with the desktop website and then sizing down to a mobile website.

As most users were likely to make their appointments while at work or on the go, it was vital that the website functioned at any screen size.

Low Fidelity Designs

Adapting my paper wireframes into low fidelity digital wireframes helped me understand how to improve the website navigation.

Usability Study Findings

Users had trouble finding the registration button

Users want to upload their pet documents in the registration form

Users don’t want to enter payment information during registration

Refining the Design

After analyzing the results of the usability study, I started designing the mockup.

Takeaways

over the course of designing this website, I learned that targeting specific user needs helps me to create better products. Even seemingly minor improvements can lead to increased user satisfaction.
